A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Seattle, WA, serving a K-12 student population throughout the school year under a contract arrangement. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services to support students' communication development in an educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid state license
- SLP experience in school settings with K-12 populations preferred
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized speech and language therapies
- Familiarity with educational regulations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with communication disorders
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document and report on student performance, maintaining compliance with educational standards and deadlines
- Provide consultation and training to staff on communication strategies and accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise toward student success
